Home for the Holidays (well around the Holidays:)

Sister Photo Shoot

Sarah (Sethy's sister) and I are both into photography so while we were waiting for Christmas dinner to cook we decided to run down to the river bottoms and do a sister photo shoot... we had so much fun! They were BEAUTIFUL girls to shoot!

Me & Sethy Christmas @ home

Seth & I flew back to Cali Christmas Eve (he had to work the day after christmas). This was our very first Christmas outside of Utah and away from family. It was a little tough, we sure missed the commotion of christmas. We're grateful we got to see some of our family the week before. We're were so blessed this Christmas, the spirit our families left us with carried through our entire week. Thank you

Traditions

Ever since I can remember my family's Christmas tradition was decorating my moms amazing sugar cookies! It's my favorite memory as a child. We've all grown up and moved out of the house so it's been years since we've done it but this year Seth and I had a last minute trip to Utah and while we were there we had a christmas dinner @ Cookie's with my sister's and we decided to do our childhood christmas tradition... COOKIE DECORATING! It was crazy to see the tradtion go full circle and watch my nieces and nephew's have a blast doing it. There's tons of fun photo's I have to post from our visit however it's christmas eve and we just flew back to Cali this morning so I'll take time to do them after the holiday... Anyways this is a special posting for my mom. Her and my big brother jer weren't able to be there and we missed them EVERY moment. Jer used to put SO much frosting on his cookies then lick the sides, we'd all scream "Gross Jeremy! Don't put that in the pile of cookies!) I saw my nephew's doing the same thing... It was so funny. I posted a few pictures for you to see the memories with made with the kids.... I don't ever remember it being that messy! We had so much fun but in some ways it just wasn't the same without you, mom. We missed you SO much. Thanks for starting such a YUMMY tradition. I can't wait to continue it with my kids... Oh and I made you a special cookie... yes, clearly my cookie decorating skills haven't impoved since the last time I did this, in fact Kayden's (my 7yr old nephew) cookie's were far better looking then any of mine. Well here's your cookie Ma, sorry it's such a sad looking cookie. I picked a snowman and put MOM on it because it's the two things I want MOST this christmas... To see you and have snow... I LOVE YOU and you will be thought of every moment during christmas. You're the best... Here's to our first Christmas apart :(

Top two cookies:)

Caldwell Family Pictures

My brother Jer and his family had me do family pictures for them over thanksgiving weekend... It was way fun, a little chilly but fun. My favorite clients are my niece's and nephew's cause I can bribe them to be good throughout the phoot shoot... It worked. I went for an ice cream run afterwards... but it worked! Their a beautiful family! We were going to go over to some park in St. George but time didn't allow for it so I remembered this field I always drove by on our way into town and I thought it might just look really cool in pictures. We snuck in and took some shots... I think it turned out pretty cool?!
