Sweet Nothings

So, I'm hijacking...(I hope "big brother" isn't monitoring this site. I'll go home to the FBI and Homeland Security on my front door step for saying the "H" word) my wife's blog to just tell her how amazing she is. Anyone who knows Lacey, knows that. I know it, I just don't say it a lot. So, Lacey, you are the best. I'll try not to embarass you too much. You are the best mom to Mason. I don't know if it's possible but I think you might love him more than if he was biologically ours. The way you play with him, love him, worry about him and the countless hours you spend to make sure he gets the right food, the play time, the story time...you are amazing. You're an amazing sister, friend, and aunt. This career change/life change was sooooo worth it to see you spend a weekend with your sisters and not have to hop on a plane to do so. To see you get all emotional because Mason is playing with his cousins and knowing the next time they'll play will be next week...instead of 6 months. Your willingness to drop anything to help your sisters when they need an extra hand, or a shoulder to lean on. You are the best wife and friend I ever dreamed of. I love the journey we've been on...well, 5 1/2 years may only be considered a trip at this point...but either way, the time we've spent together, the adventures we had as just a couple (Summer internship living in school dorms next to Compton, Rusty, car chases through our neighborhood, drive by shootings 1 1/2 blocks away, Catalina Island (helicopter rides), San Francisco, San Diego (Sea World), Tijuana ;) Bonfires and bbq's on the beach, Camping w/ cell phone reception, Dance classes, and on and on and on. I've loved every minute of my time with you and will forever and ever. I will forever be gratefull for you and your strength through the tough times. You are an excellent friend, mom, and wife because of it. I love you!

{NOW POSTED...HERE}

Just One Of Those Weekends:)

I was able to spend Friday and Saturday with my sister's Jamie & Melissa, Mama VV, and dear friends Lisa and Cara at Time Out for Women held in SLC. I was able to go about four yrs ago with some of my close girlfriends in Cali and it was such a good experience, when I saw it would be in SLC right after we moved there I invited some ladies to join me. Although I was pretty sick on Friday and a little on Saturday I still had a blast. Being with a bunch of girls you love in a spiritual environment... you just can't go wrong. I learned so much and felt the spirit, extremely strong. I felt some answers to my prayers and an incredible confirmation in our big decision as of late and that is to start the adoption process again {we've already turned our application in, attended the orientation and gone to our first class} I was a little nervous to jump back in again right when things have seemed to settled down for the first time in a year and half. However after attending the orientation a week or two ago it felt right to proceed and after the conference it felt like going through this again was 'home' and that my next child was waiting. It was a very neat experience, and I'm so grateful for a Lord who gives us such experience's so we know when and where to go. Besides if it gets me another "mason" I'll do it all over again an million and one times:) Speaking of gratitude Seth and I were asked to speak in our new ward this last Sunday and what a perfect way to end spiritual weekend. We both did our talks without passing out... which is all that matters:) ha ha {Thanks for the support McVea Clan} Anyway, wish us luck, cause here we go on our adventure again~

Trick or Knock?!

"Trick or Knock" is what Mya got from the saying "Knock, Knock. Trick or Treat"~ No matter how many times Jamie practiced with her before going out.. "Trick or Knock" is what Mya could remember. It was classic. The whole night was a bit crazy but SO stinkin' fun. I loved Mason being able to experience this with his cousins. It's different for us being right here for things and not just hearing about them. Mason had a blast with his cousins. After a little it got a little cold so we turned in with the little ones.

he was memorized by all the costumes

Headed Home:)

Mya TiMe!

While Seth went hunting I went to spend the night at my sister's for some family time. We were able to go out to dinner with my other sister & our mom- It was fun as always:) Mase and I always have so much fun at Jamie's. Mya is good fun with Mase and loves to get him to follow her in whatever she's doing... even if it's trouble!!! ha ha. This particular time Mya decided to take Mason on a walk and DID NOT want our help.... til she's pushed him into a ditch and couldn't get him out.. Oh it was so funny. They are just too cute together!

BFF's

Mase's Best Friend Daxton came to visit a couple days before his birthday to celebrate and bring him a gift. I almost died with I saw how cute his present was... (my frien Hollz is so thoughtful and cute) They both got matching Monkey's wearing a oneise with the boys picture on it.... Mase LOVE the fur:)
