BaBy BoY {TREYVIN}

Last Tuesday my sister invited me to be there when she had her baby boy. It's her third child, yet 1st boy.  Even though she's already a mama she was nervous and scared. I can only imagine one's emotions when bringing a child into this world. She ended up having to have C-section however I still decided to be there before she went in and be there when she came out... they asked me to photograph his 'beginning' so I got to stick around all day and hang out with the new little man and his parents.  I was honored to be there. I was the first one to hold him besides his parents so I'm sure that puts me in the running for favorite aunt.. ;)  Jamie will never realize the gift she's given me. I was able to be at the birth of her first daughter Amaiya, who was born vaginally and then now for her son who was born C-section. You see I have a two sons, each one was born a different way, c-section and vaginal... and I wasn't there for either. I didn't see their first moments, I didn't see how the process went, what the doctors did, what the 'mom' did.  I missed that once in their life moment, which is a common part of the adoption world, I know. But my sister gave me both experiences. Although I'm very aware it wasn't me going through that experience, nor was it my child coming out, however I got to see what my sons experiences were like: how it went, what the doctors did, etc... just being in the hospital the whole first day with them I got to see the hospital life.  When the doctors check on them, when and how they get their first bath, how the nurse's aid to Jamie. It was tender. I got to be there with my sister that means the absolute world to me and also sit back and soak in the 'beginnings' of a baby's life, which to me was priceless.

Jamie had alot of emotion going into her surgery. She had two little ones at home that were on her mind and she was torn knowing the recovery of a c-section not to mention one of the ones at home is a {beautiful} 12 month old who isn't entirely moblie all by herself.... yet!  Her husband was amazing and the spirit was so strong. I got there around 6:30am and we waited in the room for about 1 1/2 hours before she went in. We had a prayer and sent jamie off to meet her new son.  They came back to the room about 45 mins later, with mom being wheeled in and a little out of it and dad behind carrying his first son.  I felt the spirit flood the room at that moment and it never left.  It's an amazing feeling when a child first arrives. Almost as if the angels who brought them here don't leave right away, making sure the new little one adjusts okay. I love that feeling. Even though my little boys were born twice, once into the world and then again into my arms, I still feel that feeling when they're put in my arms.  Seeing Jam and Todd with their new little one, then seeing their girls come in and meet their brother was amazing! I'm so so so grateful I got to witness such sweet moments.  I love you sister. You're my best friend. You bring amazing kids into this world. I'm so proud of you. Thank you for sharing your family and thank you to my awesome husband and sweet mother in law who cared for my little darlings so I could be there....

Treyvin is beyond adorable. So sweet and has such a strong spirit. He's here for something. I already adore him and remember sisters, I was there first so I'm in the lead as favorite:) haha jk
