All About Shay {9 months}

Little Miss Shay

I don't think I could love this little gal more than I do

She's almost {10} months old {whoa!}

She is a perfect mix of Mason and Aiden. It's almost werid.
She has Aiden feisty-ness for sure but also Masons tender heart.

She lights up when I walk in the room (that never, ever gets old:)
She is unbelievable chill.
She literally just hangs out. She is the least high maintenance of all of my children.
She makes her appearance known when shes hungry, poopy or tried.
Other than that she waits her turn to get attention.

Did I mention i love her.

She's like Mason in the way that she is NOT a cuddly baby. (Aiden is the only one that would remotely snuggle with me at this age... wish I would have slowed down and enjoyed it more)
When she's tried, she just wants her crib, white nose and blanket... no rocking or cuddle for this gal.

She is lazy and doesn't want to do the full crawl.. She is getting around fine with the army/worm crawl and figures why do the real thing?

She loves to laugh
She has the cutest button nose when she giggles (see below:)

She loves, loves, LOVES her brothers
She is drawn to them and will crawl to their voices
Her and Mason have had a special connection since day one

She doesn't really care for baby toys.. it's weird
she's bypass any musical toy, rattle or doll and go straight for her brothers cars or dinosaurs
oh dear:)
Anything and everything goes in her mouth

She is an absolutely delight
I love her

I love having a daughter, not more than I did sons, but I love the difference and love what each of those brings to us as a family and to me as a mom

She still doesn't have much hair
but she did get her first two teeth this month

She let me know by biting me one morning and almost breaking my skin
Ouch! Yep, they broke through
She thought it was funny

She is so sweet tempered unless your in the way of something she wants then the diva comes out
From the way she has her father and both brothers wrapped around her finger, I'm assuming they'll be little in her way to getting what she wants!

Family Minute to Win it Night

This whole day was hilarious! Me and my mom decided we wanted to do something fun while family was all together so we put together a minute to win it party! It was so flipping funny and the kids loved it!
It such a fun day!

In a minute....

{how many marshmallows you can get in the bucket}

{Who can get all the gum balls in the bottom litter faster}

{Get the cook from your forehead to your mouth}

 {who can stack dice on a popsicle stick held by your mouth}.. I was shocked at how good mason was at this!

 {pull the tissue out faster}

{hold a spaghetti noodle in your mouth and pick up pasta from the table with it}

{who can transfer skittles from one plate to another and make a smiley face out of them.. faster:}

Birthdays (Ry & Tae) & Christmas bug:(

The day after Christmas I actually got super sick. I ended up in the ER and was down most of the Christmas break... huge bummer:( I missed a lot of the family events on both sides and it was super depressing. Because i'm not a migraine person and they didn't stay away after the ER visit, an MRI was ordered. I was hesitant because of the money it would cost and I knew the odds of something serious showing was small. The doctor and Seth both urged me to do it just in case. It was so scary just to go in the MRI thing, i panicked and even swore when I saw how small it was and when they told me how long I had to be in there:( Seth was amazingly supportive the entire time. The results came in clear a week later! They took some blood work and are testing my hormone levels to see if something is out of balance. My doctor thinks something caused and it will likely happen again so we are doing what we can to find out what happened! My kids were troopers for having a sick mama for 11 days and my husband was incredible at taking care of them and me at the same time! I am still having headaches but can function, so I'm beyond grateful. It's amazing how when you get even a little sick how grateful you are to get your health back!

....................................................................

One thing I didn't have to miss was the celebration of the birthdays for my two beautiful niece's Rylee & Taelyn! I couldn't love them more! We had so much fun bowling with you lovely ladies!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning

Kids really do make Christmas so much more magical. It was Shay's first Christmas so naturally she didn't really know what was going on but she sure love to eat the tissue and wrapping paper. The boys we awesome, this was such a fun Christmas with them. They were old enough to really get it! Their eyes would light up and they would scream! It was so fun to watch. We usually have smaller Christmas's, we were both raised with modest families when it came to Christmas and we've followed suit. We of course get them presents but we truly try to keep it in check with was a healthy amount and what is not overwhelming on our budget. This year we didn't open any of their grandparents and birth families gifts until that morning so it was quite a magical sight under the tree with all of that waiting for them! Everyone was so sweet with their gifts, they were personal to the child and their interest and I think that's exactly what a gift should be.  They were also spoiled by the ones that love them and they loved it:)

I truly, truly love my family! They are my center. I don't know where I'd be without them circling me day in and day out. Christmas helps you slow down and really enjoy that quality time!
