School Time

First Day of School

First Day of 1st grade
First Day of 2nd Grade
First Day of Preschool

When Mason woke up first and muttered the sentence "I don't want this to happen, please let me stay with you!" :( Anxiety for young people is so unfair. I've prayed my heart out for a successful school year for him!

Aiden, his first sentence was "can I have that cold cereal I picked out at the store?".... 2 totally different realities today... and that's okay! I'm thinking he'll be just fine!

First thing this morning Shay walked down the stairs and says "have you packed my lunch yet, mama?"  My response was "Awe, Shay you should just stay home and be my baby forever?" to which I hear "Noooo, I have to go learn! I just keep growin' mama. It's 5 then 6 then 7..." Jokingly I started pouting and she said "Mom, pack my lunch. My teacher and new friends are waiting for me.. but don't worry I'll come back!"  I don't know if any of my kids were ready to fly as early as she is.  I don't think there's anything stopping her!

Girls Get-a-way

Living away from those you love is rough.  I was missing home soooo much and having just been home with everyone in February when we were moving here I decided to do a quick little girls get away with Miss Shay.  It was so much fun, even though we really did wish the boys were with us. After visiting up North for Billyum's one yr anniverary we went down to Southern Utah to visit Grandma Cj. It was so good to see Grandma Wan and GG! We were able to visit over the 24 of July which Utah celebrates as a holiday so that was fun for us to go to the little town parade. We spend a day at the lake, had a sleep over in Grandma's work trailer up in Zions and even went to work with her for a day.  Perfect timing was on our side and the McVea's were also all down in St. George for a family get together. We were able to meet up in Zion's and do Emerald Pools Hike with them. It was so fun to see them! The whole trip was so fast but soooo much fun!
