Revlon Run/Walk 5k

Today was AMAZING! Seth ran in the 14th Annual Relvon Run/Walk For Women 5k (3.1 miles) Race. This was his second time participating in this race. He ran last year, however I was in Utah and wasn't able to go and watch him.... This year I did and it was SO fun. He was in the top 150 out of 50,000-60,000 runners (granted there was walking and strollers section, still he did GREAT!) His time was 22 mintues! He was a little disappointed cause in training he had been doing better... but WOW I was impressed. There were a lot of celebrities there. Sheryl Crow and Mike Chiklis (Fantastic 4 and The Shield) were the Hosts. Fran Drescher (the nanny) was a Sponser. Jessica Alba, Eva Mendez & some blond actress (I didn't know her) were the presenters.... Then Mandy Moore came out and sang... It was incredible. The whole experience was cool. It was awsome to see all the survior's running as well as all of these loved ones running 'in memory' or 'in support of '. Seth ran in memory of his Grandma Ethel Lacey Nichols, who died of Bone Cancer. Cool huh, we have the same name and it's her diamond that's in my wedding ring (she saved it for Seth's wife).... It was neat to have her spirit there. The spirit of the whole thing was cool. I got so excited when Seth ran by... I probably embrassed him.. Oh well what are wives for... Anyway enjoy the pictures!

Today is such a good day! It's been a long time in the making but it's finally here! Seth got his promotion! YAHOO! I can hardly believe it. He's now a PE 'Product Engineer' at Toyota Headquarters and finally out of training rotations... It comes with an increase in salary (which couldn't come at a better time), a company car and well... peace of mind, which is the most important thing to me. This means we'll be staying in Cali for a couple more years, which is just fine with me. As long as we can put our feet down somewhere. I'm SO proud of my hubby! He's such a good guy.... I LOVE YOU SETHY... Okay so that's my news... I was just so excited I had to post it.

Photo Shoot!

So My best friend in the whole world is getting married August 18th! Holly and John (who I knew from High School) came to visit this last weekend and we decided it would be fun to have a photo shoot. They were going to let me practice on them with their wedding pictures and engagements and they ended up loving them. It was awsome! I was super nervous. My dream is to become a photographer and I've been reading books, getting lessons from a good friend whose a professional photographer and practing on my own. However having a real photo shoot was so scary. I took 624 photo's.... ha ha. I know a bit extreme however I wanted to get a good one. It was SO much fun doing it. I have truly found my passion... Not that I'm great at it yet but I love doing it. I told Hollz I'd put some up on my blog so she could have her family and friends see them so I started posting them and got carried away. I tried to make them small so they'd all fit... Anyway I was so pleased to see her so happy... Finally. And so content with her life. I love her to death and we just love John!
