{Ferron}

We spent Martin Luther King Weekend in Ferron with the {B} Family. They have become an extension of our own family and we're so grateful Mason will share them with us.. ha ha. We continue to learn more about Mason's birth-father, which will be very neat for us to share with Mason someday. We are so overwhelmed by the Lords love, we see it in the details of our situation. We relaxed, played games, went for a beautiful drive, ate good food and then went sledding in a way we never had before... See photo's for explanation!

Let me explain (those who know me know I hate guns... so this picture may look a little weird): I was corrupted for less than five minutes... haha. The last couple of times we have been down there Connor and Chase (brother-in-law) will shoot things (stray cats, the poor chickens, etc) from the porch, back door, hot tub, where-ever really... I always freak out and yell for the animals to run... In their defense it is only an 'air soft' gun but still;) However this time it looked a little tempting and when the neighbors cat came into the yard that kills their birds I decided well since I was 'saving the birds' I would give it a try.. ha ha. No luck for me but I did hit the barrel. This was so cute. Annette gave us one of Chases's (Mase's Birth Father) favorite hats (since mason LOVES hats...) He always pulls them off of peoples heads but he will rarely keep them on his own head for more than five seconds. However right before we left we had everything piled by our bedroom door, mason went through our stuff and walked out with Chase's hat on his head. The thing was he wouldn't take it off. He walked around with it and then started hugging it close to his head, as funny as it was it brought tears to the surface for all of us. I have a feeling the spirit 'veil' is very thin for him and Chase and that Mason can sense him. I love it. It was so cute!

the guys being silly!

Poor mase, I dumped him on the very first corner. I wasn't prepared for how hard it was to turn with a baby on my lap.... Mase got completely white washed.. if seth would have gotten then 10 seconds before you would have seen the amount of snow I wiped off his face. He was terrified. I felt so bad~
I didn't want him to be scared so we tried it again and well he wasn't so sure about it...
...so he got on the 4-wheeler instead

Home Sweet Home

After a million tests they finally found out Marlee had E Coli which caused a serve bladder infection and UTI, as well as RSV. They were finally able to get her to eat and respond in a positive way. After three days of meds they are finally home to test the waters with the medication they sent her home with. Thank you so much for your prayers everyone. It was neat, the morning my sister Chel put it on her facebook and me on my blog asking for prayers, they finally found out what was hurting her. I believe in numbers, especially when it has to do with prayers. THANK YOU ENDLESSLY!

Sweet Marlee

I rarely advertise for prayers however this little beauty could use as many prayers as she can get. This is my niece Marlee Rhetta and she's been in Primary Children's Hospital for the past few days. The doctors can't seem to pin point whats making her so sick. Her big sister Mya has been able to stay with us while her sissy is away. As much as I enjoy Mya being here, we would REALLY like her for sissy to come home healthy so if you get a minute add her to your prayers!

Thank You~

Trip of a lifetime

Oh my goodness. I just did the longest post of my life!!!! I'm a little sick of blogging but at least Louisiana is posted:) It's especially important now that I know what I'm getting for Christmas next year... so I couldn't leave anything out!

It was seriously a trip of a lifetime. All 13 of us managed to get on the plane! I couldn't think of a better group I would have rather spent nine days with. My in-laws are splendid people and we made some awsome memories! It was all thanks to VV & CL. They planned, paid and organized EVERYTHING! I cannot thank you enough. Only to arrive to the most gracious hosts in the world. Smokey and Miss Becky are southern through and through. They have hearts of gold and opened their home and hearts to 13 people for the holidays. I love you all:}
Enjoy the longest post... ever!

Our Southern Morning Christmas

This is definitely a Christmas Morning we will never forget! We didn't really know what to expect? We all woke up to Miss Becky's amazing heart... She had a stocking filled for each of the older kids and married couples. Then she had a tree bottom filled with gifts for the three kids. I was overwhelmed by what Becky did for our kids. She's like Valli and can find incredible things at garage sales and what not and got Mase the coolest things. Clothes, toys, books & a break dancing tiger (that I think every family member wanted more than the kids, ha ha). They made sure to include some very memorable southern things in there: camo overalls, an alligator & the book "A Cajun Christmas." Everything was so thoughtful and we were sooo touched.
This is mason right when we woke up. A little confused by all the commotion.. eventually he warmed right up:)

Christmas afternoon was neat for the McVea's. We got to drive down the road to see the house they built, which their family still owns. Seth's grandpa owned 400 hundreds acres of the most beautiful country and still owns 36 that the house still sits on. The property was as beautiful as Seth described.

One of the coolest things they grow up doing was cutting vines off the trees and swinging over the ravines. We decided to see if they could still hold their weight and we ended up spending over an hour acting like little kids...it was so fun!

Apparently we lost our flippin minds Christmas night because some of us brave ones (okay, some would argue DUMB ones, ha ha) decided it would be fun to jump in the pool in the middle of winter... after my heart started to beat again I decided it was a little fun. Actually, it was really fun... ha ha. we must be crazy! I can't believe I did it. Such a funny memory.
