Toquerville Trip

We decided before summer ends and Seth has to go back to school we would take a little family trip down to see my mom in Toquerville:) Two of Seth's sister joined us down there and we had SOOO much fun. Our trips down there are usually packed with four wheeler rides, a trip to the falls, hikes and bbq's... this time was no different and Aiden hung in there like champ. Along with the outdoors fun we had just as much fun indoors.. We got a bizzard nearly everyday (i'd like to blame it on the heat, but frankly when I'm down there in the winter I get just as many), saw Inception {Weird! But Awsome} & played games! It certainly a well needed trip! Thanks for coming with us Lilley and Missy & THANK YOU for the AWSOME time Ma:)

Yes, that's Mason jumping off the falls with his Uncle Jer.  Crazy! Absolutely. No I didn't lose my mind completely. We've had been there a few times now and Mason literally wouldn't stay away from the cliff. He kept seeing everybody jump off and was fansinated with the edge. He would spend the whole time trying to get around me... so I spent the whole trying chasing him. No fun for either of us! It got scary to where I couldn't look away or he dart of the edge so after our third trip I finally said "ok you want to go off, lets do it the safest way!"  I give him to one of the people I trust the most in crazy situations and that was my big brother. They got right to the edge and Mason still wanted to jump so they did. He panicked coming up out the water but as soon as he made it to dad who was waiting in the water down below he was fine. I jumped in after and he came to me and just kept saying Whoa! and pointing to the falls. It stopped my heart a bit so I decided that would be his only jump, which worked out great because he was no longer fasinated with the edge:)
It's been HOT... so we've taken advantage of Lehi's free awsome splash park.  can i just tell you how much i love splash parks, pools are fun but very hard if you have more than one kid are going without your hubby to help. i can't even attempt a pool because i'd need to stay with baby and well mason has no fear. those two things equal trouble around water. splash parks are the the perfect answer.  Mason can do his own thing while I watch him while holding the little one. Splendid:)

Blogger is being weird and won't publish very many post's on this front page no matter what my setting is at! So iff you click "OLDER POSTS" there's more RECENT posts:)

Uintas Mtns {McVea Family Tradition}

It's a tradition for our family to join the McVea's in the Uintas Mtns every summer for some camping and family time! We did it as a couple, then with Mason and it was so fun to introduce Aiden this summer. It was his first time in the Uintas and his first real experience in one of our family traditions. This year with Aid being so little we decided not to camp overnight but we did go up and have an awsome day in the mtns! He was a champ and loved being outside. He fits in perfectly. It feels like he was always here with us:) He rode with me in the baby carrier and loved it! The only thing we didn't have him do was the canoe ride (didn't have a life jacket for him and mama just didn't feel safe bringing him without it)! As for mason well there was rock, dirt, food & family to spoil him so he was in heaven.  He's such a cute little man. It was very fun day and one we all really tried to soak in since the parentals are leaving for their mission in a few weeks:(

Stud Muffin

i have SOOO much to post. my journeling/bloggin is suffering right now. ah! between shoots. kids. mini trips. and life i have missed so many posts. however i will catch up: tomorrow! it's a deal. in the mean time I must give credit where credit is due...

this stud muffin......

ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME BOTH WAYS while we were at grandma's this weekend. i had a heart attack. i thought little things would get old, or at least less life thrilling as the number of kids you have. NOPE! the whole household thought i'd lost my mind as I danced around my baby in excitement!  i think it was shock more than anything, he hasn't even really been rolling from side to side or anything. champ just showed us how it was done!

{it wasn't even a {whoops} he's continued to do it everyday:}
