Nana Nancy's

My dear friend Meg invited us down to her moms (4 hours south) for spring break and oh man did we find our home away from home here! Living away from family has been difficult so it felt so incredible to be welcomed into a home that made us feel so welcome. In just the first few hours we felt so comfortable.  Their home is located in a beautiful gate ranch area.  Their property is breathtaking. It was fun to explore and hike around. They have wild black horned deer, Huge Elk, & wild hogs.. all over their property, the kids thought it was so cool. Heck, so did I! Even the drive down there was beautiful! The scenery on the way there and once we got down there is what I envisioned Texas looking like. Nana Nancy took my kids right in and right them as her own. Their pool and patio was a dream! It was so relaxing. It was also so neat to get that one on one time with Meg. We even went to this awesome Exotic Zoo. We saw the coolest animals and were up close and personal with them, the kids even got to feed them!
We feel so blessed for her to have shared her home & parents with us!

Aiden does Track

Little man didn't want to sign up for a sport this year... he told us he just likes the running part (which we can definitely testify to with him literally running laps in our backyard for fun.) So we found him a track club! He's in heaven! This he most definitely did not get from me but I love watching my kids find something that clicks with them. The track meets have been CRAZY HOT, they weren't kidding when they said Texas was HOT in the summer. Whew! His first met it wasn't prepared for the starter gun and came unhinged at the starting line because of the sound. I literally saw him starting to melt and had to jump from the stands down to the track and had to reign him in. Sweet kid! Him and loud sounds are not friends. He's a trooper in the heat and really worked through the starter gun sound. I was so proud of him trying something new.

Rain, Rain...

The rains here are crazy and so fun! It doesn't rain a lot but it does it POURS! The boys could hardly handle staying inside one day so they didn't. Next thing I know their half naked and running around the backyard. Shay wanted nothing to do with that so we stood under the porch and laughed at them. Then Seth comes home from work and instead of joining Shay and I, he joined the boys! They were pretty ecstatic! I love my family.

Kindergarten Graduation

Aiden's Kindergarten Graduation was so stinking cute! I can't believe he's getting so old! I sure do love him. He's done so well with this move, I'm so proud of him. He does great socially and gets along with any teacher he has! We both adored his Kindergarten teacher in Oregon and we got an equally as good of one here in Texas. Mrs. Huffman was amazing with him!
