Mother's Day

We also celebrated Mother's Day in May

I remember when today was a hard day for me... today is my 4th mothers day... I've now celebrated as many "filled" mothers days as I have "unfilled" I'm grateful both. The first 4 made me who I was in the last 4. I wouldn't trade that for anything! Hard or happy mothers day I always had a reason to celebrate and that my mom:) she is the very reason I fought so hard to be a mom... she never pretended that it was easy but she always told me it was worth it:) I love her and hope I can be even half the loving, strong, independent, forgiving, thoughtful, passionate & selfless person she is in life and motherhood! I'm grateful for the 3 beautiful women that made me becoming a mom possible! I love them in the deepest part of my heart! And to those that are secondary mothers to me, my sweet mother-in-law VV & Cookie, Happy Mothers Day. Thanks for being such a blessing in my life.  Each of them are phenomenal grandmothers to my children! And I'm thinking especially of those that this day is still 'hard' for... I love you!!!!

"....Schools out for summer!"

Yay! Seth's last day of teaching for the year:)

The paychecks help you simplify life but we sure do LOVE that Seth jobs allows him to spend the summers with his family! So awesome! Plus he really falling in love with what he does and that is what matters most:)

He had a great year this year and is really getting the hang of teaching. His students placed high in every comp they did. Two of them even won first at the state AAA Ford contest and Seth was able to go to Michigan with them just a few weeks ago to compete in Nationals, where they did pretty well! The experience was awesome and the students were great kids! Seth is now eager to go back and have his students place even higher;)

So proud of him!

One year down

In the middle of May Mason had his last day of his first year of preschool.

He misses the kindergarten start date by a month so he'll have another year of preschool next year. He'll be one of the oldest in his class but his teacher told me for boys that's a good thing. You want them to be the oldest and not the youngest.

He LOVED preschool! His teacher Miss Jodi was incredible! I was so grateful his first school experience was with someone so amazing! He sure is going to miss her! He learned so much and loved making all new little friends.

So weird he was even old enough to wear a backpack!
This is just the beginning I suppose:)

First Game, First Sport

 Time for T-Ball

Mason is finally old enough (in mapleton city) to play a sport!!! We signed him up for Summer T-ball and he had his first game last saturday! It was a HOT day and the kids attention spans were super short however they did so good and Mason was a trooper... except for the part where is was playing second base and decided to sit down... on the base and yelled "mom, bring me a snack, please" Everyone was cracking up. Nice Mason, way to focus! I guess at least he said Please;)

He was definitely a beginner, when he hit the ball instead of running to first base he ran after the ball and tried to pick it  up! It was so funny! I'm so proud of him for trying and I'm so excited to see him get better and to see if he even like t-ball.

It was neat to see one of my kids in their first sporting event. We just used to having really young kids so its fun to experience the next phrase with Mason!

Way to go Diamondbacks:)

Annual Walk

Every May on Birthday Mother's Day (the day before Mother's Day) we help put on a Walk with FSA called Adoption Celebration Walk! Every year its a little different and every year we see new families there that have been blessed by adoption! Its such a neat day for our family! We love celebrating it with our kids and with our closest friends who are also 'blessed' by adoption!

My favorite part every year is the "Balloon Release" Each child release gets to one for their Birth-parents and the Birth-parents there release one for their child. Its sweet and a tad emotional!

I love that we adopted in this day and age and that our children can celebrate their journey and not hide it!

Birthday Boy

Aiden 3rd Birthday Party

For Aiden's birthday party this year we let him invite two friends (which he naturally choose 'his girl' addy and his bbf Dax) and his cousins. We went to the nickle arcade then to the park for cupcakes! It was a fun day and much less windy then last year at the park for his birthday! The kids loved the arcade and the adults could hardly keep up with them:)

I can't believe Aid is 3! He's such a cute stinker and I'm so happy to be his mom!
Thank you to everybody that came and celebrated with us!
