Choice Experience

No he's not ours... but I sure wish we could have kept him. I got a call from our caseworker friday afternoon asking what our plans were from Saturday to Monday? I told her besides the baby shower, nothing. She then proceded to tell me a heartbreaking story about a 3 wk old baby named Kaden. Where we came into play was that he needed a home for 3 days. Since we had to get stated certified as foster parents to do our own adoption, we were qualified to do it. Of course we said yes. He was brought to our home saturday afternoon and stayed with us until Monday morning. Very rarely to you get this sort of practice with a newborn right before your own;) We couldn't be more grateful for having been blessed with the opporunity to be Kaden's foster parents for three short days. In those 3 short days we fell in love with him... we tried not too, but it was pointless. He was beyond perfect. I'll be honest I'm sure tried of falling in love with kids and having to send them home at the end of the day. I can't wait to finally kept one for myself:D No matter how hard it was, we're so grateful we got the experience, we're grateful we could be here for Kaden and give him safety, love and a home if only for three days, while his whole world was changing. It was so AMAZING to see seth with a newborn in our home. WOW! I now have truly witnessed what my husband was born to do. Alot of men don't like or enjoy the newborn stage... not seth, he was smitten. He got up with him in the middle of the night, rocked him to sleep and changed every 'other' poopy diaper. We pray for Kaden and will for the rest of ourlives. Thanks for coming into ourlives and giving us one more baby boy to love. We have complete faith Heavenly Father is watching over you. {Seth got a cute picture with him too, but it show's his face and well yeah, we thought this one would be better}

What an awesome experience. Kaden was lucky to have you and Seth as temporary parents. What a lucky little man.

LAC i COULD JUST CRY WITH YOU. oH MY GOSH, THAT WOULD BE SO SO SO HARD TO HAVE A LITTLE MAN IN YOUR HOME SO NEW AND HAVE TO HAND HIM OVER. i BET YOU WERE TEMPTED TO HIDE HIM AND KEEP HIM FOREVER. THAT IS THE HARD THING ABOUT BEING FOSTER PARENTS. GOSH YOU GET SO ATTACHED TO THESE BEAUTIFUL KIDS AND LOVE THEM SOMETIME FOR LONGER THAN A YEAR AND THAN THEY GET PLACED BACK WITH THE REAL PARENTS. WHICH MOST THE TIME IS A NOT A GOOD SITUATION. I KNOW MY NEIGHBOR IS A FOSTER PARENT FOR NINE KIDS RIGHT NOW AND SHE JUST BALLS SOMETIMES WHEN SHE HAS TO GIVE THESE KIDS BACK TO THEIR PARENTS, SHE KNOWS THEY ARE GETTING ABUSED AND MOLESTED AND THEIRS DRUGS IN THEIR HOME AND THE STATE GIVES THEM BACK. IT'S SO SAD. I TO PRAY KADEN HAS A GOOD LIFE, I SURE HOPE SO!!!I LOVE YOU LAC AND I AM SORRY YOU HAD TO EXPERIENCE THAT PAIN OF GIVING HIM UP. ITS SO EASY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MASON!!!!

What a great experience--as difficult as it was to give him back! You two were so meant to be parents!! Your whole journey has been riddled with so many blessings, you have to know what a hand Heavenly Father has in all of this!
