Recently I have found myself crying I'm laughing so hard at Seth....
WARNING: THIS WILL PROBABLY NOT BE FUNNY TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T REALLY KNOW SETH
Last night while watching the oh so amazing show '24' (we watch it after online) I see a HUGE BLACK SPIDER out of the corner of my eye...
Me: Ah, babe, look! Go get it
He looks
Seth: Oh man! No, lace! I hate those things.
Me: We can't let it go! It could get in Mason's room!
Seth: AAGGGHH!!! I can't handle the "squish" sound they make
Me: Oh be a man! Go get it!
He begrudgingly got up almost moping as he walked towards the spider as I asked him to use a paper towel, not my shoe (like he usually does)
Seth: WAIT! Do we have RAID?
He proceeds to look in the closet
Seth: "AH HA! YES"
Then he sprays the spider, waiting for it to fall without having to touch it, then wraps in up slowly without "squishing it" and says
Seth: Sorry, buddy, she made me do it
I then almost died laughing. Why it was so funny I have no idea? but it was:)
Then this is us two nights ago... again watching some TV. As I'm folding laundry, Seth pulls out our computer chair, sets it in front of the TV and begins to swing his arms and such.. mind you without saying a word or explanation.... I ignore him. Then he gets up and starts doing these old man stretches (no offense)... I mean full on body swings, turns, and bends. I couldn't help it anymore:)
(let me give you a tiny back story... Seth hurt his back over the holiday break and ended up with no range of motion in his neck. So, he's been going to a chiropractor... we got the feeling they were trying to hose us and do a little more than is required. Our insurance only covers 20 visits and they have this elaborate plan for like 38 plus adjustments and 12 massages... He's a little bit of a push-over and has got us in trouble with situations like this before by just doing it so he doesn't have to ask questions (sorry honey, it's true, I love you) so after our $1,600 dentist bill last time I decided to nag him about this and not let it get to that. "Only the twenty visits dear" I've continued to tell him. He actually agreed!)
okay back to the weird stretches in the living room
Me: what in the world are you doing?
Seth: Stretching!
Like I was stupid for that not being obvious...
He then explains how if he stretches like this and turns like that to warm up the spine and then lays down with his back arched, it will cool down like that and then when he gets up it stays??!?!? I think that's what he said?:)
Me: what?! Did they tell you that?
With a very serious face he says
Seth: No, I read it on the wall while I was waiting... I can't wait for them to teach me. I only have twenty visits.
ha ha ha... I laugh just while writing it! This is probably not funny to anyone one else but it had me rolling. I LOVE YOU DEAR!!! Way to be a thinker! :) Anything to save a buck... that's my honey:)

PHANTOM

Saturday: Ship Wreck Hike/Lunch
Saturday our friends took us to this really cool place on the coast in PV (Palos Verdes) that has a ship wreck down along the coast... They said it was about a 15 walk to the place where we have lunch and see the wreckage... once we got there we realized it was more of a hike.... on the way back up it was more of a DEATH HILL!!!! You go straight down (really there was hardly any slant) the cliff to the shore... it was killer switch backs. It was steep but it felt good going down, almost fun.. the way back up, Kris and I had beat red faces and sore, sore legs. Once we got down we walked along the shore for awhile.... not sandy shore... rocky shore, the one where you break your ankles walking... ah.. good times. It really was fun though. It felt so good to get out and do something active (you get quite the cabin fever with a new baby) it was cool to pack mase along with us and show him the ocean for the first time. Well it was fun until he started to feel like he weighed 40 lbs:) Where we wanted to eat lunch taken so we walked a little further and found this awsome little place. The ship wreck was way cool and so weird to actually see. Flynt told us the whole story, it happened back in the 1960's(?) it was pretty cool. We did run into a naked surfer but other than that we had a great day.. Thanks friends:)

Parts of the wreck were scattered all over the beach

Monday: Griffith Observatory
We've lived here three years and have been told the "Griffith Observatory" is a MUST! We finally went and we totally agree! What an amazing place. It's in the hills of LA and has the most breath-taking view I've ever seen. It was so fun to walk around with Mason. It was weird to have him not just 'sleep' through something... he's getting so old:) The place had gorgeous architecture, the museum was interesting and they even had an awsome cafe right on the cliff we ate at.

3 MONTHS!!!!
Mason was 3 months yesterday! I can't believe it! I know this is said by every mom, but they really do grow SOOOO fast. It's been some of the best three months of my life. I love being his mom. I love being home with him everyday and watching him grow through every stage. We bought him a bumbo seat yesterday and I almost died when i put him in it... He looks so big! He's a pure joy. He's already sleeping through most of the night. He eats great (now that we found the right formula), sleep good and smiles all the time:) This has been an extrodonary journey, Mason came from an amazing birth mom and a wonderful birth father, we are so very grateful we have opporunity to raise him and because of their sacrafice we have our son. I wouldn't trade him for the world. It's true what they say in the adoption world... we don't wait for any baby, we wait for OUR baby:) Corny I know... but it's so true. We love you Mase!
