Many months ago I reserved a weekend at a cabin the Uinta Mtns for our anniversary in May. It was a looonnnggg winter so they still had snow up there and the roads to it were closed. We decided to do to to Park City for our anniversary instead and reschedule for Sept for the cabin and take the boys with us! As frustrated as we were that our original plans didn't turn out, it turned out to be such a GREAT weekend and we're SOO glad we did it with the boys! The Uinta Mtns is a McVea family favorite and somewhere we try to take our boys every summer. The cabin was so nice and clean. We drove 50 miles straight up the mtns so it was nothing but forest! It was SO pretty. The leaves had just started to turn and honestly it was just want my little family needed. A little break, no cell for reception for three days, a jetted tub, homemade soup, throwing rocks in the river for hours with the boys, waking up to snow (ha, totally not on the forest, but we just took it as it came:), bundled up and wanted for a ride on the ranger, movie nights and pure family time! It was so fun and I have feeling that was the start of a tradition:)
