I don't have a "bucket list," I never have. I didn't even know what a bucket list was until the movie came out. I have always just lived life and taken opporunites as they came, some of the time it's not even something I thought I would do or even wanted to until it came along such as my skydiving experience (which ended up being incredible and i'm so glad I did it.)
Anyway... one thing that has always been in my mind and on my list of "...maybe somedays" is a race. I am NOT a runner so I always thought it would be a 5K which I think is an accomplishment. However two months ago I looked at myself in some pictures and thought "what happened to me?" Along with the feeling of needing a change I took the plunge and got the vip membership to Golds. It includes childcare so I have no more excuses. I have gone faithfully three times a week for the past two months. My sister in law is an amazing personal trainer and I am finally taking advantage of that resource. She has been amazing. She has me on an entire weight lifting (which is something I didn't think girls did) and cardio routine that we switch every couple of weeks. I have worked my bum off:) and I have already lost 4 lbs and have seen an even more improvement in my body. More than anything I feel empowered and stronger in my head which allows me to be better in all my areas in life:)
I must be feeling stronger... because last week hubby & I registered for the Ogden Get out & Live 1/2 Marathon! I'll be honest I'm a little sick when I think about it. I've never even ran a 5k! AH! However I know I can do this. I'm not quiting between now and then, it's something we've both always wanted to do, so we're doing it!
Wish us luck:)

That's so awesome! I really wished you lived closer. I have a pass to Golds too and Aria go a couple days a week. And that race is in Ogden?! I'm looking it up. Depending on when it is I may just want to run that one.
Good luck. I had the same thoughts about running a few years ago. I was just going to run a 5k. Well the first race I did was a 10K and I ran the whole. I was going to tell you sunday that you look really good. Jealous!!
You go girl! You have spunk. I proud of you Lacey jay.
Well, you'll know the world is about to end the day I actually run a 1/2 marathan. Heck, even 1/10 of one. But I'm so happy for you and wish you luck in your training! Even though I'm not the model of physical fitness, I do enjoy working out when I make myself do it b/c you get so much more energy and vigor to get through the day - something mothers of young boys need!
You'll do great!
