This birthday was a big one for Mason. It's the age he gets to be baptized. It's a pretty special milestone and because of that we had not only some of our amazing family travel out but also Mason's birth family. It was a pretty big moment for our family since Mason's two sides of his birth family had never met. There was a lot of emotion in his birth and 8 years later it was all coming to together in the celebration of him at his baptism. Friday we had our family and the birthday all come to our house for dinner and to have cake and ice cream. It was so neat to all be together!
We are so proud to be his parents, we are honored to have been chosen and are beyond grateful to have had him returned to us and been reunited here on earth. I love him more then there are words for. He changed my world when he was born and I'm so grateful for the experience of being his mother. He's strong, yet vulnerable, curious, gets lost in something he's interested in, is okay alone, passionate, emotional, has a great sense of humor, loves to laugh, gets carsick, often over whelmed with new or a lot of people, has a growing testimony, is talented at soccer, is born to be outdoors, to fish, to hike & thrives on one on one interaction. He is special. He feels a heavier blanket than most 8 yr olds and continues to fight. I am one proud mama. He's an awesome kid and it's been an absolute joy to watch him grow up!
Happy Birthday Mason, Your Dad & I love you so much our hearts hurt!
