We've talked about doing our 72 hour kits for almost 4 years now. I know, it takes us awhile to get thing accomplished:) There's definitely something about expecting a child that changes your outlook... that and experiencing a minor earthquake! Nothing like a little motivation! Anyway we had a long weekend so we decided to get our butts in gear. We finally got our 72 hour food kits as well as flashlights, matches, poncho's, emergencey blankets, and other listed items all ready. Whew! What a relief that is. We've only been told by the Prophets to have those prepared for what generations now. Better now than never, I guess. No really it feels so good to have them done. It's something that really has weighed heavily on our minds. We want to be prepared. Now we're going to start on our ever so intimidating food storage... Wish us luck:)

Awesome work with those kits!
And I'm volunteering Landon if you need any help with the whole year supply stuff-I think we have some pretty good books and he really did his homework. I can't claim credit for any of it - just cooking it!
Congrats! It's the first step and I'm sure that earthquake had nothing to do with the preparation:-) That's just great! Good luck on the whole food storage thing:-)
So organized! Looks good! I started one right after we had RJ..having a baby really gets ya going. But, I now have two kids and haven't updated it. I definately have some work to do.

Wow...you guys are awesome. Thanks for kicking our butts in gear!
What did you guys use in your 72 hour kits? Just curious. We really need to make some too!
