{Our EARLY Christmas}

Since we bought a house and are saving for our second adoption we decided to go 'small' this year on Christmas:) We each got each other one thing and then we filled a stocking for Mason. It was different but it reminded me of growing up when we didn't have much so we had to be really creative, which was neat. Those are some of my all time favorite Christmas'. We also carried on the tradition of writing each other a letter and putting it on the tree, except this year was extra neat cause we brought Mason in on it this year and each wrote him a letter. I love this tradition!

We had our lil' early Christmas the night before Christmas Eve. Mason's {B} family had dropped off some gifts for him and one for each of us (so sweet) so we saved those for that night too. Mason was totally into the toys grannie annie and grandpa B got him. It was so cute to watch... Never-the-less those stinkin candy canes on the tree still held him attention more than anything else. ha ha. Note to self: No candy canes next year:) I got Seth this gun holster thing camo & all that's he's been dying for. He loved it. However he completely and utterly out did me this year. I knew he was up to something. For 2 1/2 weeks leading up to this night he spend nearly 40 hours in the computer room. I'm not exaggerating either. He spent all night in there after Mason went to bed almost every night. On the last night he was up til 4AM! I was more than curious... Seth has never sent that much time on anything!!! We saved my gift for last and let just say the tears started. It was the most thoughtful, time spent, meaning gift I've EVER gotten.

He made my ENTIRE blog into a book. Not just the last year but since I started it in 2005! He had NO idea there was companies that would upload and put blogs into books for you until he was two days away from being done. So he copy and pasted every single post, had to re-size every single picture and even copy and pasted every single comment into a word document. He then had to format it and then proof read 500 pages for spaces, alignment & errors! There were no words for how I felt! It's my life for the past four years in a book. Things I never would think to write in my journal, pictures of old friends, milestones for Mason, all of the incredible support through comments.. are all in there! The neatest thing is our life in Cali is now recorded in a book. I blogged everything for my family back home and now have that book of memories for ourselves. It's the neatest thing ever. I know alot of people have had their blog made into book but the man hours and work he put into this was incredible. It put my gift for him that I ordered online to shame! ha ha. Although that's the only thing he would ask for, so I guess he really wanted it. It was a tearful night. I was so touched and overwhelmed. He said he will now do one annually for me so it a year at a time and not four years of catch up.. ha ha. I love him. It was a great start to an incredibly meaningful Christmas:)
