Girls Week:D

Seth's away for the week on business so my sister Jamie and my niece Amaiya decided to fly out for a girls week! They got here Sunday and we have already had SO much fun. Seth was able to have one night with them before leaving Monday morning. I think I just might keep them. I'm obsessed with mya. She's such a doll:) She just happens to be named after her favorite aunt Amaiya Lacey. We're all just glad they made it. Jamie was a little paranoid about getting on the wrong plane, but all is well... they made it. Sunday they almost died of heat but we're cooling off now. It's been so fun to have her here. Mya is testing out all of Mason's things for him. She is so funny;) She has made us even more anxious to bring Mason home! We even had a cooking lesson last night... Yes, Jamie is the kitchen. I know my family is freaking out but the even more surprising thing is, is that she's not half bad. She's very capable. All our jokes were for nothing..:( There's tons more pictures to come from our wonderful week but here's a few....

"Jamie and Lacey, why do you look so beautiful?" "Oh because it was only a million degrees and we naturally look good all sweaty and in our T-shirts:D"

No joke, she cooked it and LOVED how it tasted... Sesame Chicken with broccoli over brown rice... I was so proud of her. (for all of you who don't know Jamie... she doesn't really like to cook, okay she hates to cook. She says she doesn't know how too, but she did AWSOME. She's known to be a picky eater, but this had sesame seeds, garlic, green onion, tons of not normal stuff and she loved it:D YAY)

Mya's first experience eating chicken... she loved it as well. She couldn't get enough of it. Jamie was mad because she was taking all of her meat. It was so funny. Mya would like grab the tray and start rocking the whole chair if she didn't give her enough meat.

Sunday was my good friend Katy's birthday so we decided to celebrate all of our birthday's (hers, Seth's and mine) with a fun BBQ. Even though my birthday isn't until Saturday and Seth's isn't till July 3rd, however we'll be in Utah so we didn't want to travel with the gifts so we did it here with jamie, mya and our wonderful friends. It such a fun night. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL KATY! She was SO sweet and got Seth a hilairous babies manual and she pre-ordered "Breaking Dawn" for me (the 4the book to Twilight)... Isn't that awsome. I'm so excited. Seth LOVES his manual. They were so sweet. We just love our friends, they've been so good to us:D We hope she enjoy's her 'Stamps'

iT's BeEn AwHiLe......

Well, with how insane(yet wonderful) life has been recently, my passion has been on the back burner. Only because it takes so much for me. I have to commit to my photo's and my mind has been going a million different directions as you can imagine. Well, today I visited my joy again... let me introduce you to my second love- PhOtOgRaPhY. It is a part of me. The past couple of months, with so much support and encouragement from my fantastic family and amazing friends, I've entertained the thought of turning my 'hobby' into something more offical. I'll be honest. I'm super scared of failing... especially in this. It's a fear that pretty much hindered me with everything my whole life. I wasn't confident that I was good enough to take that next step and I still have so much to learn. My family and sweet husband argue with me on that. I got so stressed about how to advance, where to learn more, and what price to charge, if any... would people even hire me? If they did, would they get the photo's back and think I was crazy asking for money...Yes people, these are real fears. Anyway, when everything started coming up in our life, it was a distraction I welcomed. The pressure left for a moment. Anyway, I've really started to miss playing with my camera. Today I packed up the kids and drove around San Pedro looking for fun backgrounds. We had a blast. Thankfully, Marius slept silently in the car a few feet away (if he hadn't, I doubt today would have gone so smoothly). So, today I shot because I love it and it felt SO good. I felt creative, involved and in touch with something that is so close to my heart. Ideally, I'd like to be a wedding photographer... I LOVE WEDDINGS! It's just hard because it's not everyday that you get to do a wedding. Thankfully my BBF Hollz asked me to do her wedding last summer and it was so fun for me (it's definitely what I want to do). So hopefully I'll get to do more in the future:) However, I still love to do families, kids, babies (sometimes;), engagements and whatever else I've had the pleasure of doing. We really did have such a good time today, Ebby was such a GrEaT sport.

Am I going to take that step and start charging? YES, to an extent. Not too much because I'm still building my portfilo (never family, of course) What am I going to charge? I'm not sure. I think I'll take the advice of my photography buddy. Where am I going to find someone to design a website for me? I have no clue? How am I to start a business? You've got me. Am I worth it? I don't know yet? But I'd like to continue to do what I love if someone wants to share that, why not? :D Here's some snap shots for our day........ ENJOY:D
