.....days away from meeting her

in a matter of days our little family's life will change forever

We will be getting another piece to our eternal puzzle:)

Because of high blood pressure with baby girls birthmom, the doctors have decided it's best to induce her a week early..

...which is this Tuesday

four days to go

WOW!

Even though this is our third time, it's still doesn't help calm the nerves
Everytime is so different

Each time has truly changed our life
Each time has left such an impression on our hearts that we carry that experience in our hearts forever

We meet our child

the one we promised to see again

it's an incredible feeling seeing them again
it hits you straight through the heart

Being a mom is something that I try in everyway not to take for granted
Not just because of the way my children came but because of just how special that role is...

My children mean the world to me. They frustrate me more than anything, make me laugh harder than anyone, make me cry happy and sad tears and the honestly make me feel love in a way I never knew existed.

I can't believe #3 almost here
I can feel her getting closer

I love, love, love being a mom

Friend {Baby Shower}

I have the best friends in the world... and honestly I don't say that lightly.  I have had some solid friends over the years but never an entire group that I related to every single one and felt a deep bond with.  I was beginning to think those kind of friends just didn't exist for me... until I met this bunch of crazy ladies. They are what we refer to each other as our 'adoption' friends, haha.

When we moved here 2 1/2 yrs ago we started the process for our second (Aiden) and clearly because of the move we had to go through a new agency.  We ended up with an AWESOME caseworker and got put on the FSA board. I was nervous but thought it might be fun... well that fun turned into creating some of the neatest relationships I have. Being apart of the adoption world is neat.  Its a small community and when you meet someone else who has adopted it's instant friends, with these women it was that and more. We just get each other... in a way that you didn't think some else could.  The neat thing is, it isn't just the ladies, we do girls nights, kid playdates or a whole family affair:)

Basically I feel really blessed to have these ladies in my life. They let me vent and not make me sound CRAZY:)  They crack me up just when I need it and they give me support in a way that is so genuine it makes my heart smile. I'm happy I have people in my life that I can lean on and that can trick me into coming to a 'girls night' and end up walking into a FULL BLOWN baby shower. I may or may not have cried.

I don't think good friends just come easy or is apart of life... I think they are found and I'm so lucky to have found mine. Thank you lovelys for an amazing night of support:)

Family {Baby Shower}

Our families are incredible! They both wanted to throw a shower for baby girl, and since there was only so many weekends before she comes, we decided to do it together! They all did an amazing job!

I'm not gonna lie Shower's ... or even birthdays, christmas anything of that people are watching JUST YOU open gifts is a slight bit awkward. However the support was overwhelming, so many special special people showed up and a lot of people even drive over an hour to be there.. it meant SO much!

It was a fun day and so neat to catch up with everyone:)

Mason got a new... ROOMATE:)

This has been in prepartion for a while now and with the baby only a month away we decided to make it happen....

The {boys} are now ROOMATES

We have a fourth bedroom that we could have moved Aiden into now that the baby will be using the nursery but to me sharing a room is just a part of childhood! I shared with my sister jamie almost my entire childhood. Since their boys and so close in age (19 months apart) we decide to do it:)

We picked out a theme that suited them and got to work on the idea for their BIG BOY room so it would be exciting for Mason sharing his room and for Aiden moving rooms. We got the decorations, new knobs for the dresser and bought Aiden a big boy bed!

We gather it for weeks and finally put it all together. The boys were THRILLED to have a sleepover.

The loved the flying plane and cars all over their bedroom.

Aiden loved his new big boy bed but once it was actually bedtime he took a while to figure it out... it was SO funny. It was like "uhhhh, which way do I sleep?" "why are the sheets different... oohhh wait there's cool cars on these"

You could literally see him processing it!

We read stories, explained how fun it was to have a brother to share a room with, kissed them goodnight, shed a tear, turned off the light and closed the door......

Then the real fun began. Shoot me!

To me: Bonding and sooo cute that they share a room... Yes.
To them: Chance to be crazy. Sing for hours. Extra time to play.
For Mason: a friend to convince to do naughty things.
For Aiden: a new found freedom that he's not trapped in his bed anymore.

As I said SHOOT ME!

.................................................................................................................................

It's been a few weeks now and they are getting the hang of it.
Just like any transition you have to hang in there, let them explore but also lay down bounderies.
It was a little crazy but it's still so cute.
Sharing a room seems to have bonded them even more.
They still fight like brothers but they are even now more of best friends then before!
I love it.
I love them.
