Mason's {3rd} Birthday

 It was extra warm leading up to Mason's birthday this year so we planned to go to Hee Haw Farms with all of his cousin and best buddy Linc... but then it rained on us so we had to quickly come up with an indoor plan B the morning of.  We ended up going to the park for cake (so cute by the way, my friend Lins made it for the boys and it turned out amazing!!!!) and presents. Then we headed up to Monte L. Bean Museum at BYU for their live reptile show. The older kids loved it and the younger kids just ran around "ooo-ing and aw-ing" over all the "hwge animals" (as chezney said).  It wasn't what we planned but they seemed to enjoy it all the same so oh well:)

It was fun to celebrate with everyone. We decided to have a little joint birthday for Mason and his cousin Teag this year since their birthdays are close:)

 My mom was up for the event so it was awsome for Mason & Teag to have Grandma there. Thanks everyone for coming to celebrate with the boys!

These first ones are from Mason's birthday at home on the night of his real birthday:) daddy and mason made an ice cream cake together this year!

Angels Landing

(it took me forever to get this pictures from my hubbys point and shoot)

This summer we went down to my moms with my sister Jam as well Seth's sisters and their husbands to spend a weekend in Southern Utah. It's home for me and a favorite of anyone who gets go spend a weekend at my moms:) We decided to get a sitter (THANKS TAMI) and do Angels Landing, I did it a few times in High School and remember it being a bugger.... I was reminded why! Ouch. My poor shins! It was beautiful as always though, Zions NEVER disappoints! Seth and his sisters have never done it so it was pretty neat to experience it with them for the first time! Angels can be dangerous but its one you just have to do:)

(please pay NO attention to how cute I look while hiking;)

Private {?}

EXPLANATION: Like I said before I have never really even thought about making my blog private. I loved that I had a connection with people through our common journeys and or were able to keep in touch with old friends that I normally wouldn't have another way too.  I know in making it private it will steer some people away completely and make it harder for the rest however the last month Mason's adoption got unexpectedly sticky. With a lot of communication with have since straightened a lot out however it opened our eyes in a different way and we feel the need to rein in our boys... public life, if you will. So bare with me in this change. It is only to keep our boys daily lives a little closer to home. We love sharing our days with you and I appreciate your comments more than you know, especially when I didn't even know you were following us until I asked for emails... such a neat feeling:)  when you leave comments it gives me a way to link back to your blog and see your cute families:)

Anyway I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that I did this right and those who got emails which should a good number of people can still see this. haha.

{Mason}

"Where does the time go?" I think every mother think that when their child has another BiRtHdAy.  I can't believe Mason just turned 3!!! He such a little man and is growing up to be such a smart, determined, loving kid.... with a  little kick:) I couldn't be more proud to be his mama. We went out to take his 3 yr old shots and decided to throw a few of little brother in there too because well he just too cute not too:) Mason was true to who he was and gave us every expression imaginable in a 20 min window! He was hiliarous the whole shoot... gotta love him!

Look how handsome he is... he makes my heart melt:)
