Yesterday was mine and my handsome hubby's 6 Year Anniversary! I had a conversation recently that made me realize just how much Seth & I went through, and eventually conquered together. We have been dealt some pretty rough bumps (we know we are not the only ones)! To say that I love this man today is simply not enough. The things we have been through in our six years of marriage is no easy fĂȘte. Somehow, someway we stuck together. We learned that behind close doors what is between me and him personally, mentally, emotionally and physically is most important, we worked on that, we worked very hard on that. I have never laughed so hard, had more fun, loved so much and been pleasantly surprised at just how incredible marriage could be than I have with this man. I love him till it hurts. I trust him whole heartily. He is my very best friend. He loves our kids beyond words. We are far from perfect but this {six years} is amazing for me and him, we have learned being different is okay, we have learned the power and happiness a couple can have and that children are amazing but that they are an addition to the unit not make or break, we have learned that it's okay to take a time out and we've learned it's okay to forgive quicker than your pride would like. We still have SO many things to learn however we are so grateful the spirit guided us through the hard times so that we could enjoy this amazing life we have together.
Seth, I love you. I knew from the day I met you (it’s even in my journal) that you were going to be different. I thank you for being who you are in our marriage, always trusting your feelings for me from the very beginning. Thank you for loving me when I stumble, for not adding to my hurt when I couldn't give you children but only loving me more, for loving our boys and giving me a family that I never knew could exist. I am happy with you every single day. You make me laugh, no one would ever believe how silly you are but those are my very favorite moments. You are my very favorite person. Maybe our marriage wasn't handed to us, but that's okay. I truly believe the best things don't come easy and because of that work, six years later we have built a foundation that is solid. I believe we will not fall by the wayside when times get though, well I know we won't because the trials have never stopped yet the blow seems to get softer and softer as we get stronger and stronger. I guess that's what it means to love someone :) Thank you for loving your silly 18 yr old bride and for still loving the mother of your two children... You are my world!
