BeAuTiFuL KiDs

My friend Ivy hired me to do some pictures of her kids. They made it SO easy. Their super cute kids. Here's just a sample -more on my photography blog-

ThE nUrSeY

I thought with nearly two weeks left I'd unveil the nursery;) It's ALMOST done. We have every built, in place and hung up except for this way cute magnet board my sister Melly made me for my baby shower... It matches the nursery perfect. It was too big to bring home on the plane so I sent it to Toquerville and will pick it up at Thanksgiving, so the big blank spot on the wall is reserved for that... in case you were wondering:)

This is the willow tree figurine that we gave to his mom at our face to face meeting. She has one (it's the full size one) and mason will always have this matching one.

The color came out weird on this one but it's just up on the blue wall, it's a sign I had made for his room-

A neat experience

Our good friends The Leach's invited us to come along to the Court Friday morning to experience and celebrate the finalizing of the adoption to their son Caiden (and asked for I'd take some pictures.) It was Seth's Friday off, so we gladly accepted. It was such a cool experience. I got chills seeing it done and knowing Caiden is now 100% theirs! The relief in Casi and Dave's eye's was very evident. They went through ALOT to get there. We were honored to be apart of it. Anna was as cute as ever and happy to have her brother officially apart of the family. We all went out to eat after to celebrate Caiden's BIG DAY. Thank you Dave & Casi for inviting us to be apart of your special day. This family is very, very special to us. Dave's testimony in church over a year ago is what we needed to hear. The spirit spoke through him to us and the next day we started our journey towards adoption. Congrats Leach Family! (Casi your pictures are done, Seth will record the video on a DVD tonight and we'll get them to you;)

Ward Whoop Dee Do: Success

It's now Monday and I can take a deep breath... The Ward Whoop-dee-do is done (it's our annual ward BBQ). It's a lot of work but so worth it. I just wanted say a huge THANK YOU to everyone helped out, brought stuff and attended. It was our best turn out yet. There was so many new faces there as well as good friends. The food was yummy and the company was great. We're so blessed with a great ward family. Thank you to my committee, you're amazing and do great work:) Also Gracias to my husband, this isn't even his calling.. and well he does half the work (THANKS BABE!) We have a yummy Cook Off every year of Chili, Baked Goods and Pies. People went through so much work to prepare these treats and they were great! Congrats to the winners. Thanks for a GrEaT time San Pedro ward-

Happy Birthday Ma!

Happy Birthday MOM! Well it was yesterday and the loving daughter that I am forgot to say "Happy Birthday" while I was talking to her on the phone for an hour! Idiot! I can't believe I forgot... I knew it was her birthday all day... I doodled about it all during sacrament meeting, saw it on my calendar and then she called me right when I was walking in from church so it through me off (cause I was gonna call her) and well I totally spaced it... bad daughter award for me! I called today and expressed my apologies and stupidity... she just laughed. I sure do love her and I DID know it was her birthday! So this is for her...

My mom is truly my rock... She always gets me out of a rut, makes me laugh about something I'm seriously upset about, shows me the good in all the bad, understands when I'm discouraged and when all else fails she tells me to "buck up girly". I just love her. We've had quite the long road together. We've gone through amazing things as well as tough, though days. We've both grown so much. 8 years ago she came through for me in a way that was inspired. I went through a really rocky time, me and my mom weren't too close at the time, I was sort of doing my own thing. When things got bad she dropped everything and turned to me. She focused on me with an encouragement, love and support that has never left me since. She saved my life. She is one of the strongest people I know. She's been a single mom for the past 23 yrs and given up so much for each of us. She's continued to love and support us through all our though periods... teenage yrs... She's not your cookie cutter mom and because of that we've been able to learn and see things we never would have otherwise. She took us to so many fun places growing up, she did anything we could for us. The past 8-10 yrs I've really been able to connect with my mom. It's been so neat to see her as a person and not just as a mom. She's increditable. I'm even more in awe then I was before. I love her SOOOOO much. I always threaten her not to die before me cause I truly don't know what I'd do without her.. I can cook pretty good things now days but I still call her on how to exactly boil an egg... I always forget. She's funny, strong, wise, athletic, determined, full of understanding and she's one of my very best friends. I love you Ma.

Shooting in Burro Canyon

For Labor Day we decided to drive up to the Angeles National Forest and go shooting. Very much a day activity for Seth and Flynt but the girls decided to go along. Kristen is over a week due and she still came... miserable or not. She's such a trooper. We had a lot of fun. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not crazy about guns...it's basically the #1 arguement in our marriage;) However, after 4 yrs, the realization that it's a HUGE passion for Seth has sunk in just a little. I wasn't half bad...well with the hand guns was a little more difficult, the stupid kick scared me everytime. I think I would close my eyes cause my aiming wasn't the best (I broke the frame that the target was being held up by, oops). But with the .22 I hit the center of the target almost every shot. So I was impressed with myself. Of course, the boys aimed at much further targets and got them so YES, they definitely showed me up. The best part was being in real mtns again... it was SO pretty. Thanks for coming Bailey's:)
